Before you book, compare at least two written quotes and check what each includes: packing material, labour, loading and unloading, furniture dismantling, transport, tolls and GST. Ask how fragile items and electronics will be packed, whether transit insurance is available, and who you can call while your goods are on the road. Avoid any mover that gives a price without seeing your goods or asks for most of the money upfront.

Delhi has its own rules too. Most apartment societies need move-out and move-in permission and a lift booking, larger trucks face entry timings in the city, and in winter GRAP pollution curbs can restrict older diesel trucks.
